Program for the course:

  • Why is usability relevant: what’s the return on investment (ROI)? What’s the business case?
  • What is usability: how to define usability and UX (User experience)?
  • Workshop1: usability without users: cognitive walk-through, usability heuristics
  • Workshop 2: design a usability study: target audience, recruit, script
  • Workshop 3: moderated usability testing in the usability lab and in the field
  • Workshop 4: usability testing of a prototype, of mockups, of wireframes
  • Workshop 5: unmoderated and remote usability testing (using services like WebEx, Skype, UserTribe.com)
  • Workshop 6: your product, your delivery: what goes in a usability report, how to make a usability test presentation, and produce a video of the findings.
  • The next step: where can you go from here?

 

Learn how to:

  • Distinguish between usability methods – and how to pick the right one for the task
  • Perform a usability heuristic review of a website design
  • Plan and execute a usability test – in-person moderated
  • Plan and execute a remotely moderated usability test
  • Analyse and prioritise the findings from a usability study: what is critical and what is simply cosmetic
  • Report your findings in writing and in video

  • Workshop 2: design en brugervenlighedstest: målgrupper, rekruttering af testpersoner, testprotokol/spørgeguide
  • Workshop 3: usability test af en prototype, af mockups, af wireframes
  • Workshop 4: modererede usability testing i usability labbet og ude i felten.
  • Workshop 5: umodererede test og fjerntest (med tjenester som WebEx, Skype, UserTribe.com)
  • Workshop 6: dit produkt, din leverance: hvad skal der stå i en brugervenlighedsrapport, og i en præsentation, og hvordan kan du producere en video med dine resultater.
  • De næste skridt: hvad kan du gøre herefter?

Lær hvordan du kan:

  • Kende forskel på de forskellige brugervenlighedsmetoder – så du kan vælge den rette metode til opgaven
  • Gennemføre brugervenligheds-review vhja. en heuristisk gennemgang af et website design
  • Planlæg og gennemfør en usability test (brugervenlighedstest) – in-person modereret
  • Planlæg og gennemfør en modereret fjerntest (remote usability test)
  • Analyser og prioritiser dine fund fra undersøgelsen, og lær at skelne: hvilke fund er kritiske for brugervenligheden og hvilke er bare kosmetiske?
  • Rapport dine fund i skrift og på video
